About the Project

I am currently in my final year of my Media Technology Degree in Maynooth University. For one of my modules, Interactive Media, we have to create an interactive medium. Last semester we formed our groups and conceptualized the game. This semester is all about making the game.

So, I should probably explain the premise of the game...

The game itself will be centered around student life and the various decisions and problems student’s encounter throughout their third level education. The user or player will navigate through a in-game college week (five days) during which they play as a university student. Each day will include various pathways which will then effect the end goal of the game. The end goal is the completion of an assignment by the fifth day in order to pass the year. 

So, to be efficient, my group and I divided ourselves into different roles. Aine is our project manager, Aoife is our graphic designer and Emilia is the main programmer.

I decided to take on the role of script writer and level designer. This means I am writing the story of the game and I control where the choices lead and their impact.
